Autumn is upon us..
Its cold, getting dark earlier and hence time to reflect on the past two weeks with my loyal blog readers.
All is well if not busy - tomorrow I give my final exam for the first term, and on Thursday I start the 2nd term: who thought of this schedule???? Probably the same folks who control traffic light timing in Baltimore.
Anyways, the weekend of the 15th we drove to Syria Viginira to rendezvous with cousins John, Rebecca and Rose for some apple picking. Actually an apple picking festival at a farm. The funny part is it took us forever to find where you could pick apples at the festival because the initial part was a traditional Baltimore stret festival with overprice food, fried dough and such festivcal staples.
We had a great time though - and apple picking was a big hit! We stayed for the evening in lovely Luray, home of Luray Caverns, the caverns for people who wound never actual go splelunking (caving).
I went caving once, spent 5 hours underground in Harpers Ferry, just me, 10 others and a bunch of bats and tight spaces. Time to check that off on the "been there done that list" becasue I ain;t trying to do that again knowwhati'msayin.
Anyways, here are some photos from our weekend:

Emmet gets busy on an apple!

Micah and Rose chillin'

Micah, myself, and the tallest cow I've ever seen!
Maybe it was a Clydesdale dresed like a cow - its getting close to Halloween you know!
On the way home we drove along Skyline drive - it was a beautiful weekend and the scenery did not disappoint.
This past weekend, Roni and I got a babysitter for Saturday Night. We went out to the Charles Theater to catch Good Night and Good Luck, the new George Clooney related film about Edward Murrow, the CBS News reporter who made it his mission to take down Senator Joseph McCarthy. I give the movie a thumbs up.

Everybody's bloggin' for the weekend..
except me.
I'm coming clean - I've been w to the eak power.
I'll get something substantive posted soon.
My computer is currently held hostage by spyware- and Micah told me this morning that he put money in my computer. I did not understand what he meant until I couldn't boot up because the machine could not recognize my zip drive. After shaking out $.31 I realized what he meant.
Funny enough I've been getting spam comments..along the lines of "love your work. Check out my viagra blog.."
I'm not one to playa hate by that s$%t is wickety wickety whack..
Til next time beeyotches..
Peace!

24-7 , 8 days a week
13 months of the year is when you speak...
not to plagiarize the almighty RUN DMC, but this is who I thought I am..but obviously I'm not since I can't keep up with the blogging..mea culpa!
Anyhoo, all is well but busy in the Bmore world. It's been busy but fun.
This past weekend was awesome: Friday night Roni and I ordered our allergen free meal from Thai Restaurant. Saturday morning we went to the Waverly Farmer's market and got some mad fresh grub- afterward we went to the playground on the site of the old Memorial Stadium and Micah got crazy with friends Amina and Liam. After that, some serious napping...not only by Micah and Emmet by but me: I zzzed twice in a 2.5 hour period..nice.
Roni and I got a babysitter Saturday and went to the Charles theater to see the Aristocrats..hands down, the dirtiest most offensive movie I've seen. The premise is about the telling of this classic joke that comdeians tell to each other backstage..and try to be as vile and disgusting as possilbe. While some moments are pretty hilarious (Bob Saget is a filthy MF, who would have known from Full House!!), quite frankly the gig was tired. Copaphelia, bestiality and incest got joked into the ground as far as I am concerned. But overall, we still enjoyed the going out for a movie experience.
Afterwards, we went across the street and had dinner at Zodiac: we shared an appetizer with hands down the best hummus I have ever had, and the rest of the meal was pretty of the hook too. All in all a great eveing, but I'll tell: going out is a hella more expensive when the babysitter gets 10$/hour. WTF? When I babysit in my early teens I was lucky to get 1$/hour and access to all the weak ass ginger all and off brand snacks I could eat. Oh well..
Sunday we went to Micah's homey's house and played in the am..
and then off to see Milkshake tear it up live in the pm.
Roni and I took the boys to Mattress Discounters to buy some new bedware in the late afternoon.
Aight..I'm out like tile grout.
'Til next time..
Peace!!
