Is there a Doctor in the house?

SPG - the reference in the subject line is one of the great and many inside jokes we share.

I successfully defended on Wednesday Aug 29th - it all went well - I was thrilled that a lot of folks came out and I hope they enjoyed the seminar.
A lot of discussion, very good and thoughtful in the closed session.
I had a great committee, and am thrilled to be done. Still have to revise and submit the final tome -
but like Dre, I'm a mutha-f****n doctor.

Music Stuff

Buzz-oven is the heaviest most depressing and emotional metal I may have ever heard-
I'm late to the game this stuff debuted in the early '90s. I like me some sludge metal, but this stuff is by far the heaviest most nihilistic stuff I've heard - and I'm down with Eyehategod, Electric Wizard etc..

Also the Ponys have been rocking my world. Great melodic, Television, Sonic-Youth-esque rock.

And Dr. Oh-No.

I'm loving emusic right now!

Also, Liars' Drums Not Dead is off the chain!

Thesis turned in - al 473 pages!
Am I overly verbose or the next James Joyces - or both? - but to keep it real this tome is probably an easier first read than "Ulysses" ya' heard!
My orignal title - "Some Overly Verbose on some Sh*T nobody Gives a F^%k About" - this has since been altered perhaps for the best.

I have learned a ton from the thesis - hopefully my committee will dig.
Anywho,
more interesting stuff to come.
