Sorry for the lack of bloggin'

I'm allright and therefore should be bloggin' like Kenny Loggins.
But alas, the past week and a half has been busy and a somewaht sad. My last living grandparent, grandmother Ruth McGready passed away on Thursday June 16, at 91 years.
I feel very lucky to have gotten to know three of my four grandparents in my lifetime, dJohn Brecht died before I was born, but grandfather Thomas McGready lived until 1999, and grandmother Margaret Brecht until 2004. So I surely can't complain,

Ruth was a truly wonderful caring person who loved geting to know her great grandson, Micah Teagan, a getting to meet second great grandson Emmet Asher in her lifetime. We visited here in May and she was still living in her home, and still very aware of what was going on. She took a turn for the worse two weeks ago, but I was able to visit her last week and communicate with her one last time. For this opportunity, I am quite lucky. We are heading up to Norristown PA for the funeral on Wednesday. I feel for my family, especially my dad, who is taking this a bit hard.

Sorry to be a downer, but that is not my intention - in fact, as I already said, I am very blessed to have known her for so long.

More happier news to come soon.
